Dear Cross Mountain Crusher Registrants,
Since March we have been waiting, watching and hoping that things will stabilize in regards to the spread of COVID - 19. Unfortunately they have not stabilized enough. Yesterday the Cross Mountain Crusher planning Committee decided that we will need to cancel the Cross Mountain Crusher for this year. This decision was based on our goal to keep the community as safe as possible.
We would like to offer you three choices of what you can do with your 2020 Crusher Registration Fee.
Please email your choice to becky@catskillrecreationcenter.org.
Since our shutdown in March, the Catskill Recreation Center has been struggling to get back on its feet. We are now open with reduced hours and are working hard to serve the community, providing wellness opportunities in a safe environment for people in this region. The Catskill Recreation Center is a not for profit organization. The mission of the CRC is to offer year-round swimming, fitness, and recreational opportunities that promote healthy lifestyles for people of all ages from the surrounding communities.
We appreciate your support and hope to see you soon for a swim or gym time. If you live far away, then we will see you at THE CRUSHER 2021.
Thank you for your support,
The Crusher Planning Crew
The 2020 Cross Mountain Crusher crushes on Saturday, October 24th.
This event is designed for those who wish to challenge their physical abilities to the maximum while enjoying beautiful back country roads in the Catskill Mountains.
The 55-mile course features five hefty hills and 5000' feet of elevation gain, with portions of the ascent of Cross Mountain exceeding 20%. There will be feed station support, and mechanical & vehicular support as needed. Many of the gravel roads are seasonal roads, so rough climbing and descending should be expected.
The Crusher also serves as timely stepping stone event for cyclists who plan on riding the Farmer's Daughter Gravel Grinder in May and the Black Fly Challenge in June.
